NSCA-CPT Certification
The Importance of Certification
The field of personal training has attracted thousands of participants over the past 20 years as the interest in fitness has grown rapidly.  Unfortunately this rapid expansion has attracted many so-called professional organizations that offer various forms of "certification".  Many of these require very little specific training or knowledge to obtain the "certification".  The National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) established the Certified Personal Trainer (NSCA-CPT) designation in 1994.  To earn this designation, the candidate must pass a four hour written examination prepared by practicing experts in the personal training profession.  The NSCA-CPT is the first personal training credential to become nationally accredited.

Henniker Fitness Center offers 45-minute personal training sessions by Lindsay or John, both NSCA certified personal trainers, for $35 for members or $45 for non-members.  Five sessions available for $150 members and $200 non-members.

Both John Dur, owner, and Lindsay Chase, manager, hold the NSCA-CPT designation.  Other Henniker Fitness Center employees are certified in Nautilus equipment training and use.

All staff is CPR-certified.  Additionally, we keep a state of the art Automated External Defibrillator on site in case of an emergency.

Orientation:  The Henniker Fitness Center provides all new members with instruction on the use of all its equipment and an exercise program to meet the individual member's personal fitness objectives.
